Adenrele Adesina, FCCA, is a seasoned finance professional with a passion for good governance and national development. A graduate of Accounting & Finance from the University of Brighton, her journey is a testament to her expertise and passion for transformative impact.
After a distinguished 20-year career in the banking sector in the UK and in Nigeria, Adenrele transitioned to public service in 2015, serving as the Honourable Commissioner for Budget & Planning in Ogun State and recently the Executive Director, Finance and Administration of the Nigeria Port Authority.
Her journey continued at Standard Bank, London, where she expertly analyzed the Nigerian Banking Sector, playing a pivotal role in securing short and medium-term financing for Nigerian banks. Her commitment to Nigeria’s financial landscape was further evident in her advisory role to the Central Bank of Nigeria during the 2009/10 banking crisis, a testament to her unwavering dedication to her country’s economic well-being.
Adenrele’s influence extended to her role as Head of Corporate & Investment Banking Research at Stanbic IBTC Bank, where she continued to demonstrate her exceptional leadership and analytical skills until her return to public service in 2015. Her expertise in engaging and advising portfolio investors in debt and equity instruments, as well as foreign direct investors, cemented her reputation as a leader in the field.
